The correct name for those who are born with a Caul is a Caulbearer. Such people are often referred to as being born behind The Veil, as the Caul is also referred to as The Veil in many cultures due to it being a face covering.
What is a Caul?
The birth Caul or Veil is a full face mask which may be sometimes found covering the face of a child at birth. Such births are rare and hold special significance for the child born in such a manner. There are many stories and myths about the Caul, many of them erroneous. This post is provided to give some insight to those who are born with a Caul and further promote public knowledge of the phenomenon.
The correct name for those who are born with a Caul is a Caulbearer. Such people are often referred to as being born behind The Veil, as the Caul is also referred to as The Veil in many cultures due to it being a face covering.
It should be noted that Caulbearers may be male or female and may come from any social class, racial or religious group. There are no geographical boundaries to the phenomenon. However it has been observed that Caul births do have tendencies to run in family bloodlines. Sometimes, but quite rarely, more than one member of a family–usually a parent and child–may be born with a Caul.
It has been calculated that Caulbearer births may be as few as one in eighty thousand births. However this does not necessarily mean that there may be one such birth in every eighty thousand births in a particular area or that there may not be more than one in any grouping of eighty thousand births.
The Caulbearer
The purpose of the Caulbearer is to serve Mankind and to guide men and women to understand themselves and the world and universe within which we live.
How should a Caul be removed?
As the Caul is a membrane which covers the face of certain children at birth, it is regarded as being of human tissue and part of the child. The most distinctive feature of a genuine Caul is the presence of two loops which wrap around the ears of the child when born. This feature ensures that the Caul is held in place during the birth of the child.
Firstly, upon recognising that the birth is a Caul birth, two small holes should be cut for the nostrils and one for the mouth to enable the child to breathe. Once this has been done the loops which cover the ears should be carefully released from over the ears. The Caul should then be slowly peeled from the face to avoid any damage to the veil.
The Caulbearer
Cauls have been preserved in several ways through the millennia: from keeping them in jars or containers of water, to folding them up and keeping them in envelopes.
Preserving a Caul
Cauls have been preserved in several ways through the millennia: from keeping them in jars or containers of water, to folding them up and keeping them in envelopes.
A recommended way to preserve a Caul is to let it dry out after the birth without folding it, and then laying it out on non-acidic cardboard or other non-reactive material. Cling-wrap or other non-reactive material is often used to cover both the Caul and the backing material. Once this is done the Caul should be preserved in a dry safe place, away from dust, heat and moisture.
A Caul will usually dry out and become more fragile as time passes, so it is important to take as much care as possible in preserving it at the start.
The Caulbearer
It should be noted that Caulbearers may be male or female and may come from any social class, racial or religious group. There are no geographical boundaries to the phenomenon.
What a Caul is not
There are many misconceptions about the exact description of a Caul. Other phenomena which are often mistaken for a Caul birth are as follows.
Some children are born while still enclosed within the amniotic sac or membrane. This usually entails the child being born with a sac of transparent or translucent membrane surrounding all or part of the child. This phenomenon is referred to as being born “en-caul”, which is the medical term for such births. This is not a Caulbearer birth and is one of the most commonly held misunderstandings of being born with a Caul, as the term Caul, may often be used to describe the concept of a covering or lining. Some dictionaries refer to a Caul as being a bonnet or cap.
This meaning of covering or cap, also gives rise to another phenomena of being born with the lucky cap, which is what happens when a child is born with placenta or some afterbirth material being found stuck to the head or face. Once again, such births have no relevance to a Caulbearer birth as a genuine Caul is quite distinctive as a full face covering.
What Is So Special About The Caul?
The main reason why those born with a Caul were and are held in high regard is principally due to the fact that such births can be calculated in advance and the time and place of such births predicted. This marked the birth of a Caulbearer as being of particular significance, along with the fact that such people often had peculiar abilities in many diverse ways which were not commonly found in the general populace.
Caulbearers are often found to have ability in matters of finding underground water supplies, knowing when weather patterns will change, predicting when fish and other food supplies will become plentiful.
Many are great natural healers, which trait may be manifested by the laying on of their hands, or remotely from a distance. Many are considered to have great ability in matters of judgement and ruling nations and often possess insights which are difficult to appreciate by other people.
In many cultures the Caulbearers were considered to be “Kings by right,” due to the predictive nature of their births and their leadership abilities. This is one of the reasons why certain Buddhist groups, to this very day seek out Caulbearers to be brought up to become Dalai Lamas.
Throughout history the powers that be have repeatedly attempted to destroy the Caulbearers because they were seen to be messengers sent by a higher force to guide mankind in matters both physical and of a higher spiritual nature. In ancient times they were held in high regard for their knowledge in a wide range of disciplines, and therefore became known as ‘priests’ which originally simply meant ‘teacher’. This was long before the notion of the religious priest was ever conceived.
The Caul or Veil is sometimes also referred to as “The Veil of Tears” due to the tendency of baser types of people to attack or even kill Caulbearers, often for no apparent reason — such as in the Middle Ages, when they were burned as witches and heretics, mainly by the Church of Rome.
Persons of negative character may often react to Caulbearers at a very subconscious level as they sense that there is something different about these people. There are many folk tales about “the curse of the Caul” which appears to come from the fallout of negative actions against a bearer of the Caul.
In many cultures around the world the Caul is more commonly referred to as “The Veil,” and the word “Caulbearer” is the usual word in English speaking countries. However it should be pointed out that the word Caulbearer will generally not be found in standard dictionaries due to repeated suppression of the reality of such people as they have often been persecuted by those who wished to become kings by might rather than by birthright.
The Caulbearer
As we all perceive reality to varying degrees depending on our individual level of sensitivity (or lack of it) and Caulbearers are noted for their perceptive abilities, their peers and society at large may tend to give them a hard time.
Bringing up a Caulbearer child
Caulbearer children should generally be brought up as other children. They are often noted to be of a well-disposed nature but may often be regarded as strange by other children and even adults because of their unusual depth of perception which will be generally misunderstood by the population at large. This may result in the child becoming withdrawn and a loner, keeping their distance from those who may appear to resent them and sometimes attack them unjustly.
As we all perceive reality to varying degrees depending on our individual level of sensitivity (or lack of it) and Caulbearers are noted for their perceptive abilities, their peers and society at large may tend to give them a hard time.
The Caulbearer child will often not understand or be able to explain to others what they perceive and this can often lead to feelings of rejection and detachment. If a child tends to be aware of things and happens to mention it, others should not be so quick to decide that it is fanciful imagination without considering the facts relating to the events in question.
Many of us have experienced the sensation of precognition, knowing of something before it happened in reality or in another place. We cannot explain how or why but still we know it was as real as if it happened in reality in front of us. It is quite common for a Caulbearer to sense things in this manner, so it is essential that adequate understanding is applied as it will inevitably lead to undesirable emotional consequences and a feeling of being misunderstood and rejected.
The Caulbearer
While the number of Caulbearers is generally small in a given population it may be that they will meet another of their kind at some point.
Meeting other Caulbearers
While the number of Caulbearers is generally small in a given population it may be that they will meet another of their kind at some point. They do tend to have an ability to attract (often unknowingly) other Caulbearers even if they have no real knowledge of the phenomena. However, depending on prevailing cultural or social attitudes, they may misunderstand the strong attraction they feel to move towards certain people whom they never met before. They may confuse this sensation as being of a sexual nature as no one has ever explained it to them and therefore become embarrassed or even more confused by one more peculiar event which appears to relate to the very thing that drives them.
At the same time it is not unusual to find Caulbearers who are married to each other due to the attraction of their natures even if they don’t understand why this might be so.
The Caulbearer
In society at large the true relevance of the Caul is often misunderstood, and the little that is known about it is often mixed with superstition and old wives’ tales.
Psychological Aspects
In society at large the true relevance of the Caul is often misunderstood, and the little that is known about it is often mixed with superstition and old wives’ tales. This often gives rise to Caulbearers themselves misunderstanding exactly what drives them and what they sense. They will often learn through hard experience that others often react to them strangely, avoid them or act in peculiar ways without them actually understanding why. They may have had their Caul destroyed at birth as it had been the policy of many maternity hospitals, but particularly those run by religious groups to dispose of the Caul.
They may have their Caul, or it may have been kept for them without their knowledge, depending on the degree of understanding of relatives or midwives on the matter. There are many permutations, but the Caulbearer may often attempt to find out why they feel the way they do to no avail.
They may regularly feel certain things which they cannot relate to others for fear of ridicule or misunderstanding. It is not uncommon to find Caulbearers who become addicted to alcohol or other substances in a vain attempt to block out a world that fails to understand them.
There is a very high risk of suicide due to the same circumstances: and often the unfortunate Caulbearer may become dependent on medicines which are prescribed to treat a mistaken diagnosis of psychosis or schizophrenia.
It used to be a common experience for Caulbearers to be brought to a priest to have rites of exorcism performed on them due to their parents desire to drive out the influence which they often believed to be causing the Caulbearer’s problems in adjusting to “normal life.”
Such things should be completely avoided so as not to cause further feelings of rejection and the denial of their existence.
The purpose of this site is to provide a basic source of information so that such unnecessary suffering, which is mainly due to ignorance and misunderstanding may be avoided in future.
The Caulbearer
Due to the fact that religions by their very nature are systems of belief, the Caul and its properties should not be mistaken as being of a religious nature. Ability is based on reality, and is therefore real and not dependent on belief and should therefore be kept separate from religious dogmas.
Religion and the Caul
As the abilities of Caulbearers are well known of by at least certain parts of religious groups to varying degrees, the attitude towards Caulbearers varies from group to group.
Some ignore it; some hold them in high esteem; some accuse them of being witches and others have sought to destroy them before birth due to the preference of men to follow kings by right rather than those appointed to rule over others by might.
The main reason that “witches” were burned at the stake in earlier generations was that the shedding of a Caulbearer’s blood was believed to bring down a curse on the perpetrator. Burning them was not regarded as shedding blood, so many were burned at the stake instead.
Sadly the powers which rule over the minds of men have generally treated the Caulbearers with contempt and often with unmerciful persecution. The reason for this apparent contradiction of their own dogmas is that historically the individuals who became deities or were venerated by followers of such beliefs, were Caulbearers.
The purpose of the Caulbearer is to serve Mankind and to guide men and women to understand themselves and the world and universe within which we live. The Caulbearer mind is such that if it is properly trained by those who know how, it will be of service to those who wish to follow its ability to reason and understand certain things which lie above and beneath our everyday realities.
Due to the fact that religions by their very nature are systems of belief, the Caul and its properties should not be mistaken as being of a religious nature. Ability is based on reality, and is therefore real and not dependent on belief and should therefore be kept separate from religious dogmas.
The main world religions which we know of today were originally based on the teachings of Caulbearers such as Moses, Buddha and Joshua Ben Miriam. Other less well known Caulbearers in history were Marduk (ruler and king of Mesopotamia), Odin/Wodin who was later worshipped as a god; Dan who was known as “Judge,” father of the tribe of Dan; Jacques De Molay, head of the Knight Templar. However through the attachment of belief systems the true realities of these Caulbearers were adapted to serve the dogmas of religious groups.
Sadly we are witnessing the result of this tragic twisting of reality in our world today, as many groups who profess to care for their fellow man by following the teachings of Caulbearers, turn against each other so that all reality is ignored.

I was born under the caul. The first in my family since my great grandmother. She was the only person in my family that was a wiccan until myself. She left it to me when she passed two years ago. I’ve always been able to pick up on things that most people wouldn’t. Now i know why i suppose. It is a strange feeling to see, feel, or hear something that others cannot. It’s sometimes empowering at the same time. I truly appretiate this article and wish you many blessings in life.
Blessed Be,

Something definitely has to be wrong somewhere in your life for you to be worried about me and my business! You are the sad one! You are a very ignorant person. I have not stolen anything. People copy my own original writings from my blog and post them on their sights as mere reference or because it is of some interest to them and i do not have a problem with it! I don’t put significance on posting from other sites. It is no big deal. I’m not claiming them as my own , i don’t need to and i don’t want to. My experiences bare much more significance and value than what is posted on the world wide web. And, as far as delusional is concerned- I pay you no mind whatsoever. Everything that i have been taught spiritually has been verified. And i have plenty of other people to back me up even though i do not need any back up. You talk about unprovable things. Nobody has to prove anything to the world, or reveal everything that they know- and without me going into further detail if you were bright you would know this. It doesn’t matter what people like you think. You have no idea who i know and the things that i have accomplished so if you think that it’s all ego and contradiction, i really do not care. Your opinion is of no value to me. I am more special than you could ever imagine just like certain others in particular. I despise people like you and if you want to challenge me you will not succeed .So as far as i am concerned you can go and fuck yourself!

I am a natural born clairvoyant with extremely strong abilities and do not need to learn anything from anybody i’ve been taught by spirits and the spirits of my ancestors. So know what you’re talking about before you speak on it!
What a load of nonsense! You “don’t need to learn anything from anybody”, yet you claim to talk to dead people? So these dead ones are as real to you are living people, yet only they can teach you things? Very convenient indeed…just like the priests of religions who claim the unprovable as a shield from provability, lest their lies be seen for what they are.
You speak in the spirit of contradiction, and those who think in such a manner confuse not only themselves but those who are also confused by the rains of unreason and delusional thinking. The net seems to be infested with such sad individuals there days, going on about “gifts”, “powers” and “psychic abilities”.
Miss La Toya, do you deny that the main texts on this blog concerning caulbearers have been shamelessly culled from caulbearer websites that have been copyrighted and in existence for more than twelve years, yet you dare to steal from the caulbearers whilst ignoring the damnation that comes upon the blood of men and women who dare to do such evil? So be it Miss La Toyah, but even if you think you can avoid the wrath of the Force of The All that watches over all true caulbearers, your false beliefs will not prevent what will be taken from you. The choice is yours, and you will receive warnings to change your course, though you may have already missed some of them because of your inflated ego.As always in The Way, the choice is yours.

You must have misinterpreted something because i have not been influenced by anyone or anything. I have my own knowledge and my own judgements through my own experiences and know what to and what not to take as the truth. I was born with a caul and can honestly tell you that i do not relate to most of the people who claim that they were born with cauls. I have never been lonely or confused about anything in my life. I don’t know where you get that i’ve been influenced a lot by caulbearer.org, if you are insinuating that i’ve learned things through websites and through other people, you better think again. I am a natural born clairvoyant with extremely strong abilities and do not need to learn anything from anybody i’ve been taught by spirits and the spirits of my ancestors. So know what you’re talking about before you speak on it!

I was born in sept 1984. I too was born with a veil.
I read some of your stuff around a year ago LaToya, I can see that the caulbearer.org site has influenced you alot. Which I cant say if its a bad thing or not. But I’ve still been looking for the meaning to everything, I wish I could travel the world asking the elders of all religions, races, about their cultures views on veils. To know the truth.
But I can say, that everyone is born with innate abilities. Everyone has the capability to feel/see things outside of this reality. But our society has been twisting truth for longer than any of us could know. And there are alot of different factions fighting for control of what is truth. So you have to take anything you hear with a grain of salt. Be careful of what you believe. But its always good to have a open mind.
I will also say on a side note, as a general truth for me, caulbeares are truly lonely creatures.
Its hard for me to listen to people (especially women) talk about the most mundane and selfish stuff. Meanwhile I have thoughts of millennium long conspiracies, and the end of our society hanging on my shoulders. It just doesnt mix, especially when youve always felt like you were just watching everyone else live their life while you live on borrowed time.
Thankfully I pick the greatest friends, and I wouldnt trade them for anything, including control of the world. So I dont feel as lonely as I did as a kid, but still some days are harder than others. I just wish I could find a decent woman that wouldn’t lie to me, I always know then they are lying to me. But really thats my own problem and I shouldnt be bringing it up.
In the end, I dont bother my friends with my deep thoughts and feelings, I just enjoy my time with them and try to laugh, but for the most part I have just gotten used to being alone, I will take on the world by myself when the time is right, if I have to. Id prefer to have the help of my fellow brothers and sisters at that time though. But as i see it, I am probably most definitely making up for things in a previous life.
My biggest influences in all this, is my dreams. My dreams have showed me alot of things, some things make sense, and others dont. Other dreams just feel like im preparing for something.
Its a confusing existence. All I know is that when I die, I will die fighting, until the very end, just like all my dreams…

My Sister is the seventh child born of birthing caul that was attached from her waist up she had a strawberry on the back of her neck and she has a birthmark on her left leg that is in the shape of mother teresa but looks like a key hole of some kind.

A link between this subject and that of the predictive nature of caulbearer births is to be found in the “biblical” accounts of the birth and subsequent concealment of Moses. Moses’ arrival was expected in advance by the Pharaoh and his advisers, as he was a king by birthright, as are all caulbearers. This gave rise to his mother concealing him in the ark made of slime and pitch, and then placing the ark in the reed beds. This is also where the legend of caulbearers not dying from drowning came from, though the original account was later changed in accordance with the needs of religions to create a fantasy around the reality of the caulbearers.
These children were sought out by the Nazarenes, the Brotherhood of Ligght, so that they could be taught of the gathered knowledge passed down by that fraternity of caulbearers, to teach them of the precepts and reasoning of The Way, which is a philosophy based on truth, knowlwdge, logic and reason…the four elements or pillars of humane and reasoned existence.
At an even later time, the imminent arrival of the sixth High Caulbearer, Joshua Ben Miriam,(Moses being the fifth of the Seven Signs who would come throughout the existence of mankind), the biblical accounts tell of the arrival of the mysterious astrologers who could find the newborn king by right (The caulbearers were known in such a way by peoples in many cultures, due to the predictive nature of their births).
The kings by might did not have all the necessary information to calculate the coming, so Herod needed to use the astrologers to find the child so that he could kill him before his existence could be more widely known.
For what it’s worth,

I was born with a caul on the 1st January 1953.My Mother told me I would always be a very lucky woman and I was for a long time. I had a very bad experience over twenty years ago with people I loved very much who deceived me very badly. I have been very lonely and ill treated since and my good luck seems to have been taken or stolen by these people.
Can i take or get my good luck back?
Thank you

Thanks for the information on the caulbearer subject Miss LaToya.
This is a message for a woman by the name of Diana, who will have been born with a caul, may still possess it, and was expected to make contact with the High Caulbearer some time ago. it is quite possible that you may have been previously misdirected from your path.
The reason that this message is being left here, is that you may still be searching for answers to things you don’t yet understand, but cannot ignore.
You can send a message concerning this matter by using the contact link at http://www.caulbearer.org

Hello, I’m doing some research, and find that Hamlet is said to be a caulbearer, but where is this in the play. It’s fictional, of course, but Hamlet was always rather ‘veiled’ as it were, never letting on to his suspicions about the king, feigning madness, etc. Where is this in the play? Thanks, RK

Thank you. i am still on an on-going quest for truth(un-tampered knowledge).
I have to say that the more i learn, the more i get chills because it lends strenght to my own pre-concieved ideas, i always seem to be waiting for science to confirm what i already know.
I wish i could say more but i don’t feel its safe(for me) to do so. its regarding the “mission” my life and our lives true purpose.
All the puzzles seem to fit but i am afraid of what it “truely” means. Does anyone know how the “fore coming” is calculated by the planetary arrangments???
BTW…Nommos r real and R here amongst “us” in human form.

You Have Good Insight. I Am Glad That You Know And Realize What We Are A Part Of And That There Are Many Greater Things That Are Going On. I Found Your Comment Very Insightful.

what, if any is the connection to universe B and/or Sirius B (planet)????.
Its also interesting that there is a theme with “water”.
“we” are said to have one foot in the spirit world and the other in “reality”. hence the connection with enhanced mental/psychic and emotional/receptive abilities.
Theres also the connection with being “born with a veil” and the “New Obeah”.
(so far i know that people who’s birth were foretold, belong to or came from another world/planet for a “specific” purpose. in a sense we are representatives of “other entities” on planet earth but from where?..lol)
My gift is in “connecting” the dots and being able to see a much bigger picture in any situation. I believe all things have meanings and are related.
please share some insights on this…
Thank you

Hi!
I give thanks to God Almigty and you for writing this article now I know what several readers were trying to explain to me for several years. I was born with a veil over my face in 1959 back then a lot of doctors in hospital did not know the meaning of the veil my mother told me that I was the seventh child born with a veil that’s why a an earlier age I had the ability to see spirits and sense them when I was older I would go to have a reading done and they would laugh at me and tell me that I could read them better than they could read me so I would walk out, another one told me that she had wanted me to be her apprentice I just disregarded her basically I did not take her seriousliy now I am very sorry! Something within me keeps saying that I have special abilities to heal people and to help them spiritually. Thanks again now I have some insight on things I can deal with it better.
December 30, 2008 at 1:52 pm
In the article, it is stated that “…such births can be calculated in advance and the time and place of such births predicted.” How is this accomplished? How can we predict the time and place of a caulbearer’s birth?
November 29, 2008 at 3:19 am
I was also told that I was born with a veil over my face completely, just as LaToya and Debra stated I can definately relate to the loneliness, abandonment, and rejection that I receive from friends and family especially. I have the dreams, and sense or feel things before it happens, my family says I have demon on me, I’m crazy, I live in another world and I’m so happy for your site because just today my mother said that she need to perform another exorcism on me, that I need prayers and candles lit because when I was a child I would see spirits, and have dreams and I would take off running out of the home because I didn’t understand and it really hurts, so I asked God to take gift or whatever it was away from me because my relationships suffer and I get the ridicule saying I’m weird, schizzo, really ugly and hurtful things. Now that we know about this “what can be done to improve our lives” like happiness. Thanks again for this website. Another thing is should I be scared about this and was it wrong to ask God to take it away and if so does this make me ungrateful as one of God’s messengers?
November 1, 2008 at 9:30 pm
Hello, I was also born with a caul as well. I really dont know much about it. My parents didn’t want to tell me about it but I over heard them talking and found out about it about a fews ago. I was wondering what are some of its characteristics? And is having dreams of the future one of them?

Hello again this message is for lolani.
I have pics of me comeing out into the world with a veil over my face and the skin was connected to those two hole over my ears.My mother said they pulled the skin right out.But thanks for giving the name of them my doctor told me the name.
July 27, 2008 at 11:38 pm
Hi Linda! The two holes above your ears are called Preauricular sinuses or “pits”. These are not related to Caulbearers. Most Caulbearers are not born w/ these pits and the majority of people born with the pits are not born w/ cauls. So, you are in very rare company! Just to let everyone know, a Caulbearer only has the veil over his/her face, not the whole body. To be born en caul( with the amniotic sac covering the body) is not the same as being born with a Caulbearer.
Both of my paernts are Caulbearers and I am their only child who is also a Caulbearer.
July 25, 2008 at 5:21 pm
I to was told that I was born with a “veil” but in addition I have birth mark down the middle of my face. Being African American with a large white birthmark in the middle of my face has made life hard. I never felt like I fit in anywhere, not even my own family. Yes, lonely is the word. Family and friends would you are to sentative. I get bad feeling and can sense when things are going wrong. Some people are afraid of it. I call it my “knower”. Sometimes it is so strong and powerful its overwhelming for me. I also, have a problem expressin myself to other which I end up explaining. It seem like I hurt people by being honest. My name means “Messenager of Truth”. I just want to be normal. Tired of feeling lonely in any of my relationships. Sorry to go on an on. Never knew it was others like me. Just need to vent.
I have Dajavu so offend that it like reality and my dreams usually come true. I would like to know more about it and how I can not feel like I’m a outcast all the time. Thank you for this website to connect with others. At least now, I know that I’m not crazy.

Another thing i wanna add is that I went to the doctors one day and asked her what the holes above my ears were she called them slutters. That was the name she used for them. Also caulbearers are good people very kind very pleseing people. And they can feel the pain of others as if it has happen to them.I am a taurus born 4-29-1980
i have a cousin born with a veil also on 4-29-1990 ten years later and we look like eachother alot and she had a hard life also like me being the odd ball and all.
But thanks for letting me express myself in this way about something that is pushed under the rugg or looked at as scary. love. peace.and soul

I too was born with a caul. I was told about it in my early teens when I began experiencing some rather unusal spiritual activies around me. My Aunts who were spiritualist and assisted in my birth explained to my mother how rare this was. They also said that it was compounded by my being born under the sign of Scorpio. Everyone noticed it but it was all normal to me. As I got older my friends talked to me my abilities to create, build, heal, and achieve anything I wanted. I now teach them about the spiritual energies that are assisting them. In 2004 I wrote a book of short stories called “Living In Flow Motion” that tells about some my experiences. Because it too came out of this awareness I decided not to mass publish and make it available on my website for those having questions about their spiritual selves. I can attest to all you read here on this site and I use my gifts everyday. The abilities are unlimited when used for a good loving purpose.

My daughter was born with a caul. The first words out of the doctors mouth was “baby with a veil!” I was shocked because I knew what it was and noone in my family has ever been born with one. My daughter is now 11 and going through a very confussing time, and going through puberty doesn’t make things any easier. She has told me she see’s colorful lights around people sometimes. She wears glasses to read. but I think she is starting to see auras, and I think it’s starting with puberty. How can I help her accept the changes she is going through and explain the whole caul thing?

Tamika, i think that your story is all beautiful and i’m very happy for you! A yoruba priestess that i know had a husband who was born with a veil and she told me that he was born with holes on both sides of his ears.

My daughter was born with a full caul…I think..She has 2 small holes on the sides of her head, just above her ears…My nephew has one hole in the same spot. My sister says he was born with a partial caul. My daughter is only 15 months but from the womb this child was determined. She had a twin that died at 4 months gestation. When I went to get a ultrasound because I thought I had a miscarriage, they said it was probably twins and one died…When she put the instrument on my stomach..My WHOLE stomach moved and knocked it OFF….We both were in AWE. I asked her was she okay..She said no are YOU okay…lol…She was determined to be here…She came out holding her head up. She is very advanced and I swear this child remembers things..She is 15 months..I stopped breast feeding her at seven months but I really thinks she remembers…Her brother lives with his father…He stays during the summer. She was born in March. He came in June and left Mid August…I had a T-Shirt made with our picture on it. She looked at the picture, pointed to me in it and touched my face…She looked at her brother in the picture and kissed it.

Hi LaToya
This was a lot of usefull information however I am confused about one part “The main reason why those born with a Caul were and are held in high regard is principally due to the fact that such births can be calculated in advance and the time and place of such births predicted.” how could they be calculated in advance? Are you able to elaborate on this as I am researching caulbearer information and find this part rather facinating.
Thanks

LaToya, GOD bless you!!! During a deep discussion when I was 20 yrs old, I was told by my Mudea (grandmother) that I was born with a veil. All my life I knew I was different and that I was chosen to serve DIVINE PURPOSE FOR GOD. I wish to thank you for putting your findings in such a succinct and easily understood manner. GOD has used me to heal, definitely forecast and inspire others. And like many of my bretehren blessed with this gift, I too, am dreadfully lonely and thought.think (at times, Im schizo)but I know GOD dont make mistakes. I just want to say thank you and GOD bless. I have these two small holes at the center of my forehead that no one knows their origin. However, after researching, this is also indicative of an infant being born with a veil and is just one of the physical after effects. Its said that JESUS himself was born with a veil as well. So, I guess we’re in the best company. GOD Bless you dear soul. Keep on being the light bearer. for him!!!

My story is the same as Margaret L’s. My parents still have my caul preserved in spiritus and want me to take it but my husband is scared that I might start “seeing things”. I know live in San Diego and want to know how to learn more about myself and to develop my abilities. I have many strange “incidents” – but I feel I should learn more about it.

I have had two girls and both of them are caulbearers i was wondering how rare this actually is.
January 20, 2008 at 11:33 pm
I am middleaged now but my mother told me many years ago long before she died that I had been born with a caul and that it was supposed to be very lucky and was rare. I just thought to look it up the other day and found this website.
What is fascinating is that I have been told I could be a healer and now I find it is one of the characteristics of the caulbearers. I do not know if I can heal, although I try, but I do know that if we have any gifts they come from God and not from ourselves.

Latoya,
Thanks for finding your website. I can relate to the comments from other caulbearers.
I was born with a caul. I still have the veil kept at my parents’ place but when I left home I never took it with me. Now I am not sure if it is still kept by my siblings.
When my mother died, I knew what month she would die but I didn’t speak about it. I would be taken wrong. Lots of things happened to me and I want to ignore them but it’s not possible.
I was told that I can be a psychic but I was not interested or just being denial. However, I know I am abnormal compared to others. People do not understand me, always take me wrong because I can’t express my thoughts/feelings. I know when bad things happen but when I pray I am more at peace and good things happen too and I thank God.
I feel it is taking a toil on me as I am getting older. Nobody understands me and I feel I am the bad one and am lonely.
Now that I am reading others like me on your website, I can understand that it’s not a figment of my imagination.
Thanks again as your website helps me understand there are others like me too. I am not alone in this world.
Margaret

I too was born with a caul, I do not have it now. My mother told me about it before she died. I did not know what she meant when she told me about the caul, but I don’t know why I did not ask her the meaning of a caulbearer at that time.
As I think about it now, it just did not seem normal not to ask what did it mean to her and what was it suppose to mean to me.
I was always asking questions and until one day she told me that she couldn’t answer all of my questions.
I can finally breathe easier now because before now I thought I was going completely crazy. I did not know why people would treat me so different. I knew that I was a nice person but I could not make keep friends.
Whatever I saw, I called it out. So, there were times and still extremely lonliness, but I find solace in reading the bible and praying everyday.

I was born with a full veil in 1971. I’ve always felt a pull towards something but can’t quite put my finger on it.

I was born with a full veil just as my great Grandmother was. I found this article very interesting because I see so much truth about myself and her in it. Growing up I always had a very special bound with her, we shared the same special abilities.
