A Message To The Fellow Gifted And Spiritually Inclined

My Spirit has lead me to write this post and whenever my spirit gives me a message i definitely know that it is for a reason. I never doubt. I know the feeling and why.

Every now and then there will always be sick envious people who are very furious because they cannot get under our skin and bring us down. They will say and do anything just for a reaction. Believe me, they are truly miserable because we are satisfied, happy and at peace with ourselves and have no worries because we know that our lives are fine and will continue to go right.

I know that i was born to lead not even intending to. I’ve always been a leader not a follower. There are plenty of assholes - as there will always be in all walks of life. They are very insecure and afraid of the truth in all aspects of life. I ignore them because i know what is really behind the root of their problem, they don’t realize how much they give themselves away by their actions.

Anyhow for those who may be unaware of the tactics and wiles of their shenanigans Gifted people and/or people who are very smart ( who know too much ) will always be targeted in life. Don’t fall for the game. Continue to believe in yourself and definitely do not doubt and be discouraged.

I don’t understand why certain people continue on with their stupid bullshit that is so obvious to see right through. And specifically this caul/veil post. And after this i will speak no more on this particular jealousy that some have of my gifts and knowledge. This happened once in the past, someone left a comment however i did not approve it because it was nonsense, but now just to let the record show, regarding this crap about how most topics concerning what i’ve written on my blog concerning the caul and, how the information i wrote can be found anywhere on the internet is very truly a lie because everything i have written is from my own personal experience. I’ve only copied and pasted one article concerning the caul from caulbearer.org and that was for reference to those who wanted to come to their own conclusions.

I am highly educated about being born with a caul due to the fact that i was born with a double veil. Animals are also born with cauls and have psychic ability as my dog did. I’m clairvoyant. I have all the abilities including healing and the ability to make things happen by doing spiritual work. I’ve worked with other psychics and priestesses. I have been foretelling the future since the young age of three and my powers continue to get stronger as i age.

I’ve experienced things that know one will ever come across on the internet. I am so spiritually sensitive that my body physically reacts . I am absolutely aware of everything going on around me at all times and nobody can touch me. Now everyone born with a caul will have their own different experience. So if i or anyone else has not experienced something that someone else has does not mean that it does not exist or that it is not possible. In fact, that is beautiful and it is a blessing. Experiencing things that no one has heard of means that you have a special protection.

I have not stolen anything. I have my own knowledge and my own judgements through my own experiences and know what to and what not to take as the truth. I read some of your stuff around a year ago LaToya, I can see that the caulbearer.org site has influenced you alot. Which I cant say if its a bad thing or not. But I’ve still been looking for the meaning to everything, I wish I could travel the world asking the elders of all religions, races, about their cultures views on veils. To know the truth.
But I can say, that everyone is born with innate abilities. Everyone has the capability to feel/see things outside of this reality. But our society has been twisting truth for longer than any of us could know. And there are alot of different factions fighting for control of what is truth. So you have to take anything you hear with a grain of salt. Be careful of what you believe. But its always good to have a open mind.
I will also say on a side note, as a general truth for me, caulbeares are truly lonely creatures.
Its hard for me to listen to people (especially women) talk about the most mundane and selfish stuff. Meanwhile I have thoughts of millennium long conspiracies, and the end of our society hanging on my shoulders. It just doesnt mix, especially when youve always felt like you were just watching everyone else live their life while you live on borrowed time.
Thankfully I pick the greatest friends, and I wouldnt trade them for anything, including control of the world. So I dont feel as lonely as I did as a kid, but still some days are harder than others. I just wish I could find a decent woman that wouldn’t lie to me, I always know then they are lying to me. But really thats my own problem and I shouldnt be bringing it up.
In the end, I dont bother my friends with my deep thoughts and feelings, I just enjoy my time with them and try to laugh, but for the most part I have just gotten used to being alone, I will take on the world by myself when the time is right, if I have to. Id prefer to have the help of my fellow brothers and sisters at that time though. But as i see it, I am probably most definitely making up for things in a previous life.
My biggest influences in all this, is my dreams. My dreams have showed me alot of things, some things make sense, and others dont. Other dreams just feel like im preparing for something.
Its a confusing existence. All I know is that when I die, I will die fighting, until the very end, just like all my dreams…

A Psychic To Beware Of

( I, LaToya, personally know Doris Johnson. I’ve worked with her in the past. She does have some power, nevertheless, i could see right through her. That’s the question a Collier County judge will have to determine when the case of a 54-year-old Golden Gate woman suing a fortune teller for fraud, theft and deceptive trade practices heads to court. Eumathe Dufrene is suing Doris Palm & Card Reading on Airport-Pulling Road, alleging that she paid Tiffany Johnson $80 for a card reading on March 8 and then was asked to provide $300 the next day, then more money over several weeks.

Dufrene said she was asked to pay Johnson for medicine to prevent evil and “grave calamities” from being around her family and children and more money after the first “spiritual loan” wasn’t enough to lift the evil. Dufrene ended up paying $13,200 over several weeks in March, according to her lawsuit filed Oct. 28 in Small Claims Court. Johnson, who has a money-back guarantee, promised to return the money, according to the lawsuit, which includes a receipt showing Johnson’s signature that is labeled “Exhibit 1.”

On March 25, after no money was returned, Dufrene went to the business at 1872 Airport-Pulling Road and asked for her money back. But Johnson claimed the evil surrounding Dufrene’s family was causing complications with Johnson’s pregnancy and asked her to call in a couple of days, the lawsuit says. Dufrene called repeatedly and even returned to the business — to no avail.

Her lawsuit seeks the return of the $13,200 and lists the business, Johnson and Dorothy Johnson, the business owner, as defendants. Johnson and her mother, Dorothy, who is known as Doris, deny Dufrene’s account. They say the money was for readings and future readings Dufrene paid for in advance. “She was constantly calling and constantly coming here,” Doris Johnson said as she sat in her business. “The money was for my daughter’s readings, her time.” She said Dufrene was upset because her son was murdered and nothing was done, and she’d also lost her job and was depressed. “She felt so confused and troubled about her son, her life and everything around her,” Johnson said, adding that Dufrene wanted a curse placed on her son’s killer, but they don’t do that type of work and said Dufrene would have to do that in her country, Haiti. They told her to be positive and to move forward with her life, to rely on God and seek counseling or a doctor. “Whatever was wrong, it was God’s will, but don’t blame God, and be happy, be the best you can, be positive,” Johnson said her daughter told Dufrene and Dufrene’s daughter Vanessa, who always accompanied her.

Tiffany Johnson said she gave birth to a daughter just weeks ago and was pregnant at the time Dufrene kept returning, so she wasn’t able to spend more time with her. She said Vanessa Dufrene came to her before they sued and she offered to provide more readings without charge to help her. Dufrene’s lawyer, Adam Oosterbaan of Naples, denied Dufrene’s payments were for future readings.

“They can explain that to a jury,” Oosterbaan said of the Johnsons. Dufrene declined comment on her lawsuit. There are no other similar lawsuits involving the business filed in Collier County. The Johnsons’ attorney, David McElrath, could not be reached for comment. A spokeswoman for Jury Verdict Research in Horsham, Penn., said the firm doesn’t have information on verdicts or settlements involving palm or card readers or fortune tellers. But published news accounts show a handful of dissatisfied customers have sued fortune tellers, including a case that gained national headlines involving a Jamaican mystic who called herself Miss Cleo and advertised herself on late-night TV infomercials.

In 2002, the Federal Trade Commission settled a lawsuit filed in Miami against two Fort Lauderdale firms involving Miss Cleo’s services. The FTC said the psychic service promised a free reading, but consumers calling a toll-free number were directed to a 900-number that charged $4.99 per minute, ending in nearly 6 million people charged an average of $60 each.

Without admitting guilt, Access Resource Services and Psychic Readers Network agreed to cancel $500 million in customer bills to settle the FTC charges. In 2001, a man settled his lawsuit for an undisclosed amount the day of his trial against a 90-year-old Atlantic City boardwalk fortune teller. He claimed he paid her $200,000 over 13 years to remove a curse. He alleged he’d suffered a nervous breakdown and held Sole Mio Balaam Nicola responsible because he left his wife after the fortune-teller told him that if he did not, he’d be “attacked by snakes.”

Voodoo/Black Magic Removal And Reversal

The only silly thing now that they are constantly trying to attack now more than anything is my reputation, spreading nasty lies hoping that it will stick with their weak spells and weak-mindedness. I laugh at them harshly! I never cared what anyone thought of me, and especially any stupid lies that they retrieve. Obviously they do though! And that is what you have to think about and remember about those who are trying to harm you. What ever they are trying to conquer you with will indeed conquer them. They try to hurt others with things that would hurt them. So what they do is not a reflection on you it is a reflection on themselves, because what they want to take from you or do to you may not even matter to you, but it matters to them. You may be even capable of surviving a downfall that they could never imagine overcoming. These people do not conceive this train of thought.

PaPa Legba

Nine years ago, i contacted and worked with a Yoruba priestess. When we first talked over the phone she scheduled me for a reading. I was looking for a little guidance on how to expand the spiritual work that i had already been doing. I had my own altar set up in my bedroom with pictures of the saints, a statue of the virgin mary, the elements of earth, wind, fire and more! This was my own personal alter for which i did my own spiritual work with the strong energies that manifested and worked greatly on my behalf.  I visited the Botanica stores quite often back then.

Since i was born with a veil i couldn’t help but to notice the spiritual powers that i had. All i had to do was wish things and they’d happen, so taking it further with prayers, offerings and candle burning was the icing on the cake. This Yoruba priestess in particular who was located in Georgia explained to me that i was a medium who was born to be a messenger. And that a lot of my female ancestors were trying to reach me but didn’t have enough of the energy to do so. She told me i had to set up a separate altar other than my own personal one. One that would only be for my ancestors. The Priestess explained to me in detail all of the things that i needed to know and the things that i needed to do in order to maintain the altar so that i would be prosperous and have the protection from any negative energies. The only problem was back then i did not fully understand the significance of the spiritual relationship between me and my ancestors as i do now, and i did not keep it up like i was suppose to. So i had left myself open to spiritual attacks in certain aspects of my life.

The Yoruba priestess also acknowledged to me that i had to get into the priesthood or else i would have setbacks in life. Again, back then i didn’t fully understand how vital these things were for my survival here on earth in this life. During the time my enemies were trying to conquer me with heavy black magic i had a dream that i was the one who would defeat them and i spoke with another Yoruba priestess who verified that revelation to me. Just to be sure, i asked her was i going to be destroyed? She responded to me by saying “Destroying You?” Your enemies need to be more worried about you destroying them!” “Do you know who your loa is?” I said , “No”.  She explained to me that my crowning Orisha was Elegba and that one of his numbers were 21. And she told me some others things that she didn’t want me to forget.  All of this took place a while back before i was able to completely grasp what was being told to me but i knew it was all the truth. And finally, everything has totally come to the light for me.

Elegba kept coming to me. Particularly in the early part of 2006 my spirits were intensely telling me what i needed to do in order to get reunited with my destiny. After some time passed i went and got Legba’s veve, invoked his spirit offering his favorite things. And my Papa Legba was so much appeased. In only three days i received the requests that i asked for. Since then, i’ve been continuing to serve Elegba and now by keeping it up on a regular basis my life has so much more clarity. All of my female ancestors have the strength to make contact with me. I’ve seen them all in visions and they have assured me that there will never be any more darkness in my life. I see where i get all of my strength, power and character from. These women from my past generations were priestesses themselves! Everything in my life is continuing to go the way that it is suppose to without any interruption. The spiritual peace and vibrations that continue to flow through me is amazing! As a caulbearer my spiritual life has always been beautiful but now it is even more beautiful.

The Orishas

The Orishas are the emissaries of Olodumare or God almighty. They rule over the forces of nature and the endeavors of humanity. They recognise themselves and are recognised through their different numbers and colors which are their marks, and each has their own favorite foods and other things which they like to receive as offerings and gifts. In this way we make our offerings in the manner they are accustomed to, in the way they have always received them, so that they will recognise our offerings and come to our aid.

The orishas are often best understood by observing the forces of nature they rule over. For instance, you can learn much about Oshún and her children by watching the rivers and streams she rules over and observing that though she always heads toward her sister Yemayá (the Sea) she does so on her own circuitous route. Also observe how the babbling brook and the flash flood reflect her changeable moods. As you observe the orishas at work in the world and in your own lives you will gain a better understanding of them and their ways. Yes, they are complex, but no more so than any other living being such as you or I. We are also blessed from time to time in the religion with the opportunity to meet the orishas face to face during a bembé where one or more of their priests will be mounted.

Elegba

Elegba (also referred to Eleggua or Elegguá)is the owner of the roads and doors in this world. He is the repository of ashé. The colors red and black or white and black are his and codify his contradictory nature. In particular, Elegba stands at the crossroads of the human and the divine, as he is child-like messenger between the two worlds. In this role, it is not surprising that he has a very close relationship with the orisha of divination, Orunmila. Nothing can be done in either world without his permission. Elegba is always propitiated and always called first before any other orisha as he opens the door between the worlds and opens our roads in life. He recognises himself and is recognised by the numbers 3 and 21.

Ogún

Ogún is the god of iron, war and labor. He is the owner of all technology and because this technology shares in his nature, it is almost always used first for war. As Elegba opens the roads, it is Ogún that clears the roads with his machete. He is recognised in the numbers 7 and the colors green and black.

Oshosi

Oshosi is the third member of the group known as the Guerreros or Warriors, and is received along with Elegba, Ogún and Osun in order to protect the Guerreros initiate and to open and clear their roads. Oshosi is the hunter and the scout of the orishas and assumes the role of translator for Obatalá with whom he has a very close relationship. His colors are blue and yellow.

Obatalá

Obatalá is the kindly father of all the orishas and all humanity. He is also the owner of all heads and the mind. Though it was Olorun who created the universe, it is Obatalá who is the creator of the world and humanity. Obatalá is the source of all that is pure, wise peaceful and compassionate. He has a warrior side though through which he enforces justice in the world. His color is white which is often accented with red, purple and other colors to represent his/her different paths. White is most appropriate for Obatalá as it contains all the colors of the rainbow yet is above them. Obatalá is also the only orisha that has both male and female paths.

Oyá

Oyá is the ruler of the winds, the whirlwind and the gates of the cemetery. Her number is nine which recalls her title of Yansá or “Mother of Nine” in which she rules over the egun or dead. She is also known for the colors of maroon, flowery patterns and nine different colors. She is a fierce warrior who rides to war with Shangó (sharing lightning and fire with him) and was once the wife of Ogún.

Oshún

Oshún rules over the sweet waters of the world, the brooks, streams and rivers, embodying love, fertility. She also is the one we most often approach to aid us in money matters. She is the youngest of the female orishas but retains the title of Iyalode or great queen. She heals with her sweet waters and with honey which she also owns. She is the femme fatale of the orishas and once saved the world by luring Ogún out of the forests using her feminine wiles. And,in her path or manifestation of Ibú Ikolé she saved the world from draught by flying up to heaven (turning into a vulture in the process). Ikolé means Messenger of the House (of Olodumare). For this reason all who are to be initiated as priests, no matter what orisha rules their head, must go to the river and give account of what they are about to do. She recognises herself in the colors yellow and gold and her number is five. Peacocks and vultures are hers and we use them often to represent her.

 

Yemayá lives and rules over the seas and lakes. She also rules over maternity in our lives as she is the Mother of All. Her name, a shortened version of Yeyé Omo Eja means “Mother Whose Children are the Fish” to reflect the fact that her children are uncountable. All life started in the sea, the amneotic fluid inside the mother’s womb is a form of sea where the embryo must transform and evolve through the form of a fish before becoming a human baby. In this way Yemayá displays herself as truly the mother of all. She, and the root of all the paths or manifestations, Olokun is the source of all riches which she freely gives to her little sister Oshún. She dresses herself in seven skirts of blue and white and like the seas and profound lakes she is deep and unknowable. In her path of Okutti she is the queen of witches carrying within her deep and dark secrets. Her number is seven for the seven seas, her colors are blue and white, and she is most often represented by the fish who are her children.

Shangó

Perhaps the most ‘popular’ of the orishas, Shangó rules over lightning, thunder, fire, the drums and dance. He is a warrior orisha with quick wits, quick temper and is the epitomy of virility. Shangó took the form of the fourth Alafin (supreme king) of Oyó on Earth for a time. He is married to Obba but has relations with Oyá and Oshún. He is an extremely hot blooded and strong-willed orisha that loves all the pleasures of the world: dance, drumming, women, song and eating. He is ocanani with Elegba, meaning they are of one heart. When sees the quickness with which lightning makes short work of a tree or a fire rage through an area, one has witnessed the temper of Shangó in action. Though he traded the Table of Ifá to Orunmila in exchange for the gift of dance, his children have an innate ability for divination. To acknowledge the greatness of this king, all in the religion raise up on the toes of our feet (or rise out our chairs if we are sitting) at the mention of his name. His colors are red and white and he recognises himself in the numbers four and six. He is most often represented by a double headed axe.

Orunmila

Orunmila is the orisha of wisdom and divination. He was the only orisha allowed to witness the creation of the universe by Olorun and bears witness to our destinies in the making as well. This is the source of his title of Eleri Ipin or “Witness to Destiny in its Creation”. His priests, the babalawos or “Fathers of the Secrets” must devote themselves entirely to the practice of divination and the accompanying arts. Through the Table of Ifá his priests unfold the secrets of the universe and the secrets of the unfolding of our lives. His colors are green and yellow which reflect Orunmila’s relationship with Osayín (the secrets of the plant world) and with Oshún, who is his apeteví with whom he has an extremely close relationship. Trance possession is an important part of the yoruba religion. During a bembé or drumming party for the orishas an orisha may be persuaded to join the party by entering the body of one of the priests consecrated to that orisha. This is referred to as the person being ‘mounted’ by the orisha or that the orisha has ‘come down’ from heaven to be with us. The songs, rythms and dances are actually calculated to entreating the orishas to come down so that we may be blessed by their counsel, cleansings and their sheer presence. When an orisha decides to use one our bodies for a time it is, of course, a cause of great joy for us.

The orishas only rarely mount an aleyo or person who has not been initiated as a priest, and then usually only to point this person out as a person who needs to be initiated as a priest(ess) in the religion. It is not forced on people nor is it a thing of evil such as portrayed in movies like “The Exorcist” nor does anyone spit pea soup. If someone is not ready, the orisha will be gently persuaded to leave until the person is initiated and prepared for such an event. And anyone who has experienced being ‘touched’ or actually mounted will tell you the profound feelings of joy and wisdom that accompany the presence of these great spiritual beings known as orishas.

For humans, being asexual does not mean having an ability to clone yourself on the spot like an amoeba. For the most part, it also does not mean to have no sexual organs. So what, exactly, is it?

The definition of Asexuality is a lack of sexual attraction.

A study published by the New Scientist magazine in October, 2004 estimated that 1% of the human population is asexual, and confirmed the existence of asexuality in both humans and other animals.

Asexuality As An Orientation

Asexuality is seen by most asexuals as an orientation in its own right. After all, there is sexual attraction to the opposite gender, the same gender, and both genders, so why not also neither gender?

Some asexuals do not consider asexuality an orientation because it is more of a lack of orientation. They do not feel that they have a sexual orientation at all.

As asexuals are a sexual minority, this places asexuality firmly within the ‘queer’¹ movement. However, many asexuals lead a conventionally straight life and some individual asexuals do not feel they are a part of the ‘queer’ movement at all.

Shortened Name

As all other orientations have a shortened name, so does asexuality. Commonly it is ‘A’ although some people prefer ‘Ace’.

Why Call It Asexuality?

Many people wonder why asexuality is so called, as they reason that an asexual person would not wish to define themselves in relation to sex or a sexuality. However, imagine being asexual, having no sexual attraction to either gender, for your entire life. People will be interested in why you aren’t dating, so they ask ‘Are you hetero, homo or bi?’ What can you say in reply? ‘I’m not sexual’ is the answer, but then you have defined yourself in relation to sex. Simply saying ‘None of the above’ will prompt the question ‘So what are you then?’ to which you have to reply with the aforementioned answer.

Love

Asexuals are capable of love. Romantic attraction is separate from sexual attraction, and it is something that many asexuals feel. Some asexuals talk of a ‘romance drive’, meaning that they feel compelled to form a close romantic relationship with a partner.

A romance drive is not connected to sexual attraction or behaviour, it is more of a desire to form a close relationship with someone. This is possible just as it is possible for parents to love their offspring in a non-sexual manner.

Romantic Orientation

Asexuals who have a romance drive can also identify themselves as straight, gay or bi, depending on the gender of person they usually feel romantically attracted to. Romantic orientation is different to sexual orientation, so a gay asexual person remains asexual even though they prefer to form relationships with the people of the same gender.

Asexual Relationships

Most asexual relationships would be looked upon by outsiders as just being very close friends, and indeed in a lot of cases that is true. These asexuals form close friendships with people, but feel no need to go any further. However, for some asexuals a relationship is a lot more than just friendship. These asexual relationships can be very intimate, but the intimacy is not sexual in nature. Asexuals in these relationships consider that they are ‘more than just friends’ with their significant other, so close is their relationship.

Some asexual relationships can also include physical contact of a sexual nature². Most physical asexual relationships focus more on hugging and stroking than sex, however there are asexuals who do enjoy sexual sensations and acts.

Many sexual people do not understand how a relationship can work without sex as they see sex as a necessary expression of love. For asexuals, sex is not an expression of love at all and to many the idea that it is seems foreign. To help differentiate, if sex is a necessary expression of love, then prostitutes are the most loving people in the world.

Sex

Just because someone is asexual doesn’t mean they don’t have sex or can’t enjoy it: asexuality only means that they are not sexually attracted to people. A good proportion of asexuals have tried sex. As asexuals are otherwise normal people they are physically capable of sex, and some asexuals enjoy sexual arousal. Those asexuals who do have sex or masturbate do not think about people during the act; some enjoy the sensation, some have a fetish, and some just let their minds wander and work out what tomorrow’s dinner will be or when the car should next be serviced.

Many asexuals who try sex find it disappointing, and some find the idea of sex absolutely repulsive. Many asexuals do not masturbate and derive no pleasure from any sexual act.

Sexual Arousal

Many sexual people find the concept of sexual attraction difficult to separate from the concept of sexual arousal and assume that they are the same, and therefore anyone who experiences sexual arousal must also experience sexual attraction. This is not true. As an example, many sexual people are sexually aroused by leather, but they are not sexually attracted to leather.

Sex Drive

Some asexuals do have a sex drive. This idea can also be difficult for sexual people to understand. A sex drive is a desire for sexual arousal, not a desire to feel sexual attraction. The difference here can be highlighted by masturbation: people who masturbate by the application of their hand or other object do not feel sexual attraction to that object, but do it because they feel a need for arousal.

Some asexuals who have a sex drive satisfy themselves only by masturbation; these can come under the title of autosexual. Autosexual does not mean that a person loves themselves sexually, merely that they have no wish to have sex with another person, but still feel the desire to experience arousal. Other asexuals who have a sex drive prefer to satisfy themselves by sharing sex with a partner.

Sexual Relationships

It is entirely possible for an asexual to have a sexual relationship. As stated above, some asexuals do enjoy the sexual sensations and therefore will happily engage in a sexual relationship. Some asexuals are not too bothered about sex, but will go through with it because they like giving pleasure to their partner, and others will because they love their partner and are willing to have sex in order to stay with them. Not all asexuals, however, will be willing to do this. Many do not enjoy any sexual act at all (including kissing), so no matter how much they love their partner, sex will be totally out of the question and they have rigidly defined and defended no-go zones.

Marriage

Many asexuals are in sexual marriages, and there are just as many reasons for an asexual to marry as there are for sexual people. In many cases marriage has happened because the asexual person assumed that they must be sexual, since they have never heard that it is possible not to be sexual. Then there are those who love their partner so much they are willing to compromise by having sex just to stay with their partner. Some want children and want their children to grow up in a traditional family group, and some have been forced into it by their religion and family.

Why Are Asexuals Making Such A Fuss?

A lot of people, sexual and asexual alike, do not understand why some asexuals are making such a big deal out of what they see as a non-issue. If you feel no desire for something, why shout about it? There are no a-football groups.

Being Asexual

The world is sex-mad. Sex permeates every part of the world, it is in songs, books, films, radio, television, adverts, billboards, comics, art and shops. Couples are everywhere, and most people talk about sex and sexual relationships every day. Our culture is screaming at everyone to find their perfect mate, settle down and start a family. Many people, not just asexuals, are constantly hounded by family and friends asking when they are going to find a partner and settle down. For some asexuals it is difficult to relate to most entertainment and many friends because either courting or sex are such large parts of them. In this climate, it is very difficult to ignore the fact that sex and sexuality exist. All that may not be obvious to sexuals, but to asexuals it is blindingly obvious.

Isolation

Because of living in such an over-sexed culture that is today’s world, many asexuals feel isolated. As asexuality is so rarely heard of and is largely unknown, young asexuals growing up notice that they are different to their peers and assume that they are horribly broken, deficient in some way, and need to be ‘cured’. This can lead to self-loathing and withdrawal from society. It often leads to experimentation with sex when the asexual concerned has no sex drive, and individuals can often emerge traumatised.

Another reason for isolation is religion. Certainly, mainstream Christians do not have a problem with asexuals, but some see sex as a gift from God that should be used. Many other religions (Mormons, Islam) see it as the duty of all humans to procreate and view not wishing to do so as a sin.

This isolation is why many asexuals feel that they need to spread the word – they have gone through years of self-hate, traumatising sexual experiences, and being told repeatedly that they need medical help. When they hear about asexuality, having found that they are not abnormal after all, they do not want anyone else to have to go through it too. Spreading the word, of course, means making a fuss to get yourself seen and understood by the media.

Why Do Asexuals ‘Come Out’?

Many families and friends constantly hound both sexuals and asexuals to find a partner, and often to settle down and have children. For some asexuals this can be completely out of the question. Many asexuals find it easier to blend in with society by pretending to be sexual, by nodding in agreement of Kylie being hot, or by laughing at sexual jokes, and in this case they are effectively hiding the truth. In any case, ‘coming out’ can be very helpful for asexuals, as if their family and friends understand then they will no longer be hounded to pair up or be expected to join in sexual conversations.

For some asexuals it is not an issue, either they are lucky enough to have very accepting (or asexual) family and friends, or they just never find themselves in a situation where they are expected to discuss sex.

What Causes Asexuality?

Nothing is yet known to cause asexuality. Examples of common assumptions of causes are:

• Abuse – Abuse is not known to cause asexuality. It may cause repulsion, hatred or fear of sex, but not asexuality. Almost all abuse victims turn out to be sexual, and those who don’t weren’t sexual to begin with.
• Hormonal or Chemical Imbalances – While some drugs do repress libido, and pregnant and pre-natal women lack a sex drive, hormonal problems are rarely the cause of asexuality. Many asexuals have gone through rigorous tests which conclude that their hormones are completely normal.
• Genes – Scientists may have found a ‘gay gene’ which increases the chances of the carrier being gay. There is no known ‘asexuality gene’ but the possibility does exist.
• Social Recluse – Asexuals are normal people. Some of them are popular, some aren’t, some are extroverts, some introverts, and of course some are very withdrawn. It is possible that there is a higher percentage of asexual introverts than sexual introverts, but that is probably caused by the asexuality: most people naturally become withdrawn from the world if they don’t fit in. In Internet asexual communities most of the asexuals are introverts, but this is probably because all the extroverts are out and too busy with their social lives to visit the Internet very much. This is noticeable in a great majority of Internet communities including h2g2.
• Fear Of Relationships – Also trust issues. A fear or relationships or a lack of trust does not lead to a lack of sexual attraction. These issues are separate to asexuality. They can coexist with asexuality, just as sexual people also have these problems.

Some Not-so-commonly-touted Reasons

• Premature Birth – The theory was that premature babies may not have had their full quota of sexual hormones while in the womb. This one was quickly ruled out as research showed that although many asexuals were premature, some were full term and many others were beyond full term.
• Oldest Child – An Internet poll with 53 respondents interestingly shows that 49% of asexuals are the oldest child in a family. This should not be taken seriously as evidence, however, as there are simply not enough data collected on the subject.
• Death of a Loved One – As a child, the death of a family member or close friend can be very traumatic, and it was speculated that this could lead to asexuality. However, most children who have suffered a loss grow up to be sexual.

What Asexuality Isn’t

On first hearing about asexuality many sexual people fail to comprehend what asexuality is. So here are some common misconceptions about asexuality:

• Celibacy – Celibacy is a choice not to have sex. Asexuality is not a choice but an orientation, and while some asexuals do not have a sex drive, others do.
• A disorder – Asexuality is just another orientation. While some people still have a problem with the existence of more than one orientation, it is widely accepted that there are more. Asexuals are just like any other people, and come from all walks of life, all countries, and all religions. Asexuals are just as mentally balanced as the rest of the human race.
• Homosexuals in hiding – Asexuals are not claiming to be asexuals because they are homosexual and don’t want to admit it. Homosexuals who don’t want to admit it, like asexuals who don’t want to admit to it, tend to claim that they are heterosexual. To claim to be asexual would draw close scrutiny of their sexuality and sex life, which is the last thing someone who wants to stay in the closet wants.
• A late bloomer – Asexuality is usually a lifelong thing; if you are born asexual you will stay asexual, and most asexuals do. Most, because as with other sexualities, some people do drift into a different sexuality. It is possible to both become asexual having been sexual, and become sexual having been asexual. If you are 13 and haven’t felt sexual attraction then you could be a late bloomer. If you are 20, you are very probably asexual.
• Frigidity – Frigidity is sexual unresponsiveness. Asexuality is an orientation, and those asexuals who have a sex drive do enjoy sex. It is, of course, possible to be both asexual and frigid, but neither implies the other.
• Sexual repression – People who are sexually repressed are still sexual, however deeply they have buried their sexual feelings. Asexuals are not sexually repressed, but merely feel no sexual attraction.
• Fear of sex – Asexuality is an orientation, not a fear. Some asexuals have and enjoy sex, others do not because they have no sex drive.
• Only for women – Both men and women can be asexual. Currently the statistics show that more asexuals are women, but that could be simply because less men wish to admit to it.
• Nature’s way of controlling population – This was also thought of homosexuals, but studies have shown that even in endangered species there are homosexual specimens. Other studies have shown that the existence of homosexuality is an evolutionary advantage as it means there are a few adults around without offspring who can devote more time and energy to looking after nephews and nieces, and the same could be said for asexuality. There is no reason to believe that asexuality is a way of controlling population, particularly as some asexuals do enjoy sex and do have children.
• A hormonal problem – Although this may be true for a small number of people, it is not the case for most asexuals. Many asexuals have gone through many tests to identify hormonal problems, to find that levels were completely normal.
• Social retardedness – Asexuals are normal people. Some of them are popular, some aren’t, some are extroverts, some introverts, and of course some are very withdrawn.
• Ugliness – Asexuals do not choose to identify as asexual because they are ugly or ‘can’t get any’. Just like the rest of the human race, some asexuals are beautiful, most are average, and some aren’t so good-looking.
• Pickiness – It is not that asexuals are very picky about who they date. Many just don’t feel the need to date anyone, and those who do date are only picky about sexual activity.
• Religiousness – Some asexuals are religious, some very religious, and others are not at all religious. Some statistics suggest that asexuals are more likely to be religious.

Asexual Responses To Common Statements And Questions Made By Sexuals

When an asexual ‘comes out’ to a sexual person, there are many responses widely reported by asexuals that shows that the sexual person just doesn’t understand or wasn’t listening. These are some of those responses and some asexual replies:

• Asexuality doesn’t exist. Why not? How can you know someone better than they do? What makes you the authority on other people’s feelings?
• Are you gay? Possibly, but not necessarily. See above ‘Homosexuals in hiding’ under ‘What Asexuality Isn’t’.
• You need to see a doctor. Asexuality is not a medical problem, nor is it a disorder. See above ‘A disorder’ and ‘A hormonal problem’ under ‘What Asexuality Isn’t’.
• Were you abused? Asexuality does not seem to have any obvious causes. Abuse can obviously lead to repulsion, hatred or fear of sex, but not to asexuality.
• You don’t know what you’re missing. Some asexuals do have sex, some do masturbate. Some asexuals with no sex drive have tried sex. They do know what they’re missing and are quite content that they’re not having it. Those asexuals who have not tried sex realise that they don’t know what it’s like, but they have no desire to find out. One such asexual remarked it’s like algebra. I understand the concept, but have no interest and indeed asexuals will draw an analogy with many things – baseball, synchronised swimming, playing a harmonica, or sky-diving. They understand what it means and how it’s done, but have no interest in anything to do with it.
• You just haven’t met the right person yet, or you’re just a late bloomer. Asexuality is for life, not just for childhood. See above ‘A late bloomer’ under ‘What Asexuality Isn’t’. Most sexuals are aware from their early teens that they are sexual, and most know what their orientation is. Surely an asexual person, just the same as heterosexual person, is allowed to state that they are asexual when they are. Just because they might not always be doesn’t stop them being asexual at that point in time.
• No, really, everyone’s sexual. You just haven’t met the right person. Everyone isn’t sexual, asexuals are not sexual. For many asexuals, the right person wouldn’t want sex either.
• You’ve obviously never had me, f’naar f’naar. Anyone who does not find you sexually attractive is not likely to date you just to find out if you can make them find you sexually attractive. Asexuality, like heterosexuality, is not something that needs to be ‘cured’.
• You must be very religious. Asexuality is nothing to do with religion. Some asexuals are religious, some aren’t. See above ‘Religiousness’ under ‘What Asexuality Isn’t’.
• It’s unnatural. If it was unnatural it wouldn’t exist, but there are scientific studies of other animals to prove that it does exist³.
• You’re just making it up to make yourself feel special. If someone were doing that, surely they would choose something that didn’t open them up to criticism? Many asexuals have been laughed at and even shunned for letting people know of their asexuality. Anyone needing to feel special is probably insecure and will not want that to happen.

But despite the 24-year-old Californian’s success in dating, he’s a virgin — and he plans to stay that way.

Keith Walker of Texas was married for four years, but said he had sex only a handful of times.

“I really had no real interest or desire for sex. It was certainly nothing that I would ever think to do.”

Nancy Mulligan, a divorcee from Washington state, said her seven-year marriage was never consummated.

“We did other things. We’d watch out for each other. We were affectionate with each other,” she said.

When ABC News first covered this story, Walker and Mulligan were just friends. They have since become romantically involved, but say their sex lives haven’t changed.

Victoria Glancy and Karl Hodgetts got married in May. They had sex once, but have no real interest in doing it again and still consider themselves asexual.

For the remaining members, giving voice to asexuality is a proud mission.

“I don’t really see any difference between our relationship and other people’s relationships, except you know, we don’t have sex,” Glancy said.

No Libido — No Problem

Who are these people?

From different ages and walks of life, they share one thing in common — not low libido, but no libido.

They call themselves “asexual,” and they proclaim that they are not attracted to men or women.

Jay said his lack of libido was nothing new. He said he’d never experienced attraction — to either sex.

Waking up with a jerk and in fear within moments one falls into the first stage of sleep.

Street People

I know all about the street people. There is not anything that anyone can tell me about them that i don’t already know. I grew up around them and i have them on both sides of my family. I could write a book about those in particular and, it wouldn’t be a very pleasurable one since there is nothing too pleasing about their unwanted existence.

Before i began, i just want to acknowledge that certain misfortunes in life can cause any human being to become homeless. There have been very successful people such as doctors, lawyers and so on who for whatever reason may be have loss everything and had to somehow make a way for themselves out in the streets. I am not talking about them in this post. I’m mainly referring to those with innate tendencies to become bums, drug addicts, drug dealers, and whores that choose the lifestyles of the street. The streets are their comfortable habitat. The only place where they can function.

Most street people are mentally and emotionally disturbed. Many of them are uneducated and unintelligent. Some have come from good homes where they had their parents in their corner, encouraging them to do what was right in their life. And then there are the others who have come from dysfunctional homes and didn’t have any guidance at all. Many of the drug addicted street woman continue the use of drugs during their pregnancies, messing their children up only to bring a burden on society. Many of the drug addicted parents also sit up and get high with their own children.I know dope addicts who have raised their children by “training” them to be thieves. It is just the blind leading the blind.

The street people for the most part are a very sad group of people. And the level that they are on is quite appalling and unacceptable. They are very convincing liars to those who are naive to their schemes. They are sometimes so convincing to some because they believe in their own lies. And aside from being notoriously devious they are extremely malicious, treacherous to a fault, especially when their feelings get hurt.

Through first hand experience and a keen intuitive sense of “understanding” I’ve never been oblivious to the type of people i grew up around. They have always been transparent to me, very easy to read. I will admit with no apologies that i have never at all liked their particular kind. I tried to keep the peace since i sometimes had to be around them in areas when i went to school, work or whatever but there is only so much that i could tolerate when it came to their kind. You see, they are all on that “street-level”. And one with intelligence would have to come down to their level in order for them to be able to relate to them. They are not equipped enough mentally to rise from where they are. And the thing about it is that the junkies think that they are the one who is smart and, that you are the dumb one!

There is a whole lot of information that i could give on the street people, nevertheless, it would take quite a few pages rather then a single post so I’ll just continue on with just a few more brief paragraphs.

From my personal experience with particular street people have been their ongoing jealousy toward me. They are indeed sick but one will never truly know the depth of their sickness until they experience it in such a way as i have. They’ve tried at numerous attempts to bring down my character simply because I’ve talked about them and their lifestyle in ways that they didn’t like and couldn’t handle because it was the truth. You see, when you are not one of them (their kind) and you insult them they get very offended because you haven’t been in their same shoes doing the dirt that they have done. So they automatically assume and know when one thinks that they are better than them.

So to retaliate the street people will endeavor to find a way to “put you in their shoes” by trying to make you the victim of what their life is about by literally ruining you. However, it all depends on the individual target. Most street people are weak-minded and easily influenced so someone else of that nature will be easy to pull down. A strong-minded, intelligent person of substance and back bone on the other hand is a totally different story. They will be unaffected by the nonsense as the street-life is a whole different life and experience from what they are accustomed to but not necessarily unfamiliar with.

Yes, my street enemies have went around my town trying to defame my character by making up outrageous lies hoping that it would affect me. Unfortunately for them their efforts did not faze me, if anything it inspired me to be even more determined to go out and accomplish the many things in life that i do want to achieve. And that also inspired them to interfere with certain jobs that i was suppose to get by trying to give me a bad
 name.

They never stop. They don’t want to lose at their games. But they loss this one because i was never a player in their world. They’d like for me to have no means of financial support for myself so i could become a bum out in the streets. Too bad they don’t know that day will never come for me. I believe in a higher power and, a power that will dig them in the same exact grave they have dug for me. And they are the one’s who will be buried in it.

As An ASexual Person I’m Sharing My Personal Views And Feelings

One thing i don’t hear too much about is people who are Asexual. I personally am Asexual. I’m not into men or women. I would never judge anyone as myself because everyone is an individual. From my personal experience, however, i’ve never sexually desired a penis and i know there are quite a few other women out there in the world who feel the same way that i do who are not lesbians.

During my teenage years i discovered my clitoris and experienced orgasms. I wasn’t at all afraid to explore my body. Why should i have been? It was my body. I had never had sexual intercourse with a man. And after experiencing pleasurable sensations from stimulating my clitoris i still did not have the desire or curiosity to explore a penis.

During my mid twenties i decided that i wanted to have a child. It was then and for that reason only that i settled for dealing with a man sexually. I would have preferred to go to a sperm bank but at that particular time i did not have the money to do so. So i engaged in sexual activity a few times at a very short time period in one month. And the act did not do anything for me. I did not feel any sexual pleasure at all. To me, sexual intercourse is definitely a mind thing. I did not have any feelings for the guy that i dealt with for that occasion. In fact, he disgusted me. He was into me and wanted a relationship. I had to get rid of him quick. Some people will become sexually attached as he did. And, some men are so macho they think their penis can change your mind. But it is not at all in the stroke for me. Sex is all in the mind and can’t no man or his penis do a thing for me! The thought of a man touching me in any way whether it is with a kiss, caress or touch by penetration turns me off.

My efforts didn’t work in the process. His ego got into the way. This guy wanted me to want him. It sometimes takes months before conception occurs but i couldn’t let no man have sex with me over and over again! And when he found out that i was never going to actually come around to desiring him he attempted to pretend that he would conceive a child with me. Just to get back at me. I didn’t have time for any games. I wanted one thing and one thing only, and that was a baby. I considered having sex a sacrifice because the penetration of a man’s penis was and felt so unnatural to me.

I have not indulged in anymore sexual activity since and that was nearly ten years ago. I don’t ever plan on attempting to make a baby with the assistance of a man ever again.

As being Asexual, another thing in this society is really disgusting to me. And that is how some men try to destroy a women by making up sexual lies about them or telling about what may have went on in the bedroom between the two of them. Certain types of people tend to believe men when they fabricate tales of sexual encounters and will join in with the slander by trying to degrade the women. Words like “slut” don’t bother me because the word has nothing to do with me. It is beneath me. You have those though that don’t look at it that way. When most men and even some women call other women a derogatory name like “whore” or “slut” they expect it to hurt deep down inside to make the person feel very low. And in this day and age this society still accepts the act of letting men ruin some womens reputations when it comes to sexual matters.

A man can go around sleeping with hundreds of women while he is considered a “king”. A woman as everybody knows on the other hand will be considered one of the most rotten things in the world. Many still believe that most women will break down to lose their confidence if a man trashes their name by putting them out there as a skank. It gives them a great sense of power. I can’t speak for anyone else personally on this matter although i know i’m not the only woman who feels this way since there are such a wide variety of people in our world, but no man or woman could ever lower or make me completely lose my self-confidence by using sexual gestures that are considered offensive in this society.

I am a human being who doesn’t go along with the many brainwashings and beliefs of what is suppose to maintain and lower a woman’s worth. I don’t think that it is right for a woman to sleep around with many other people if she loves herself. The body is one’s temple and one should want to keep it very healthy and clean. At the same time i do not believe that a woman who sleeps around lowers her value. I just believe it means that she does not value herself!

My Past, My Present, My Future 

( I’m A Sweet Child Of The Caul, One Born With The Great Veil )

I can’t run from who i am. And i don’t want to. I was born with a caul, bestowing to me the gifts and powers of “Knowing” and “Healing” along with many connections to the spirit world. I am reminded every day of my birthright as my personal spirit guides, guardians and informers envelope me with great spirituality. It is no amazement to me how i am unaffected and undisturbed by things here in the world that are considered hurtful and distressful to many. My mind does not entertain what it deems as “bullshit”. And what is bullshit in my opinion may not be the same bullshit to others, yet that is what makes me so special and unique-My way of thinking, living and being.

I am very unusual and very proud to not be normal. I am a genuine individual. My mind thinks ahead, my eyes see beyond, my mouth speaks the truth, my body interacts with energies and my spirit feels the weight of the world. One may wonder how i am able to bare such beauty, power and burden with such ease, grace and longevity. And i’d simply acknowledge that i am concurrently and consistently sustained by the natural forces of the universe that are aligned with me.

Some may think that i talk a lot of shit. But i am all the “shit” that i talk-and, with no apologies. I am a old soul in a fairly young body speaking my wisdom and truths as i know it to be.
 
 

 My Temporary Trial In The Past 

My Nature Making It’s Way ( And It Feels So Natural )

 When my nature calls out to me, i scream out inside. And i beg for it to “Please Come Get Me!” “Please Take Me!” And my thoughts scream “I Love You!” It is so desperately drawing me near to my destiny but something is caught in between trying to keep us apart. I know it’s the evil and negativity of this world that doesn’t want my nature to flow. It would rather have me live what this world considers to be normal. Innately, what is natural to most is very unnatural to me. It is totally foreign. I refuse to be lead by the world. This place will never claim me. I’d rather perish.
 
My nature tells me certain things to do that is infinite to the state of my well-being until the day we make our ultimate connection. My nature is my real mother, my real family who let this world borrow me for the time being-all the while not leaving me without my true natural state of heart and mind. I am not influenced by this sick place called “The World”. I can and will not be deterred from the absolute woman that i am and, i definitely mean at no cost! Negativity makes me want to vomit. Positivity makes me want to holler. I am caught up in the rapture of my natural beauty, knowledge and creativity and there in the bosom of my destiny is where i forever want to be.

I can handle anything this world puts out because i am carried in the wings of my spiritual mother and family as they shield and guide me with wisdom and strength. My spirits grip tightly around my brain, loving me and keeping me grounded in my nature. They are my sisters watching over me-i am one of the babies in our family. My nature’s force to take me gets stronger and stronger and i continue to welcome it because i always pull further and further away from a place here that does not at all suit me. I have already made a ultimate connection with certain powers but i still yearn for the arms of my natural mother to wrap around me so that i may begin to live more abundantly in spirit the way i was inevitably meant to be.

I already have the privileges of not worrying and fearing so where there may be minor blockages my nature cannot and will not be denied. What is suppose to happen eventually has to come to be one way or another in my case. There is no other way. It is so natural. My nature calling to come get what belongs to it. Again, i have to say that i want to scream! I want to scream out in excitement. I feel the love that my nature has for me and we will fight until the end for one another and, we will win. There is no doubt. My anticipation is overwhelming with wonderful passion.
 

 My Future

Living In The Light ( I Live My Life Right )

My mind thinks up high as i ride on my spiritual plane. Sometimes i look down, and can’t imagine taking steps on a dirty ground. I wouldn’t know how to walk. I keep my feet in the air, enjoying the great winds that keep me afloat. My eyes steady seeing through each cloud. No longer a mist but a view in the sky.

I watch my stars as they begin to open and rise. Then i discover a revelation that comes to me as no surprise. Determining my pathways, my reasons, my whys. I have a lot of knowledge do to my nature and much experience. I also have a lot of strength that was gained through my nature and by my experience. All throughout my years i have survived in such a way. Never desiring to go astray, as i gracefully made it day to day.

I did not choose to be this way. This way chose to be in me. And it is so innate for me to not want to do what is considered to be “What’s In”. I’m a sophisticated lady who is living in the light. Certain kinds consider me to not have a life-not because i don’t-but because i live my life right.
